When you attempt to play quicker fills or grooves but they end up sounding a little clunky, it usually means that one hand is lagging behind the other, preventing you from performing the pattern evenly and consistently. Your dominant hand will likely always be a little more controlled than your weaker hand; however, these exercises were designed to close that gap as much as possible.
In this video, I demonstrate these exercises using the left hand, but these work just as well for your right. Do these for 10 days straight and you’ll notice massive improvements!
