The Switch Kick by Ahead Drumsticks

Earlier this year I was approached by an inventor named Kevin Smith from Drum Concepts. He developed a new piece of technology that allows drummers to change out their bass drum beaters in the same amount of time that it takes to change sticks. It’s called “Switch Kick“.

The Switch Kick was designed around the “F.A.S.T.” acronym:
Flip the beater 180 degrees.
Adjust the height to 9 different levels.
Switch to over 10 different beaters.
Tool-less design.

To change the beater, simply turn it 90 degrees, remove it, slide your new beater on, and turn it 90 degrees to lock it in. In this video you’ll see me switch between four beaters in realtime. Finding the perfect sound on the fly has never been easier.
