Developing Musical Freedom On The Drum Set

Ben Sesar  /  UPDATED Apr 17, 2023

header image

Ben Sesar is a phenomenal drummer and educator who has played with country music superstar Brad Paisley for the past 15 years. In this lesson, he discusses many different concepts for building musical freedom behind the drums, as well as his unique approach to hand technique.

Ben plays Pearl Drums, Meinl Cymbals, Remo Drumheads, and Vic Firth Drumsticks. Check out his website here.

After visiting our studio, Ben had a nearby concert with Brad Paisley. My wife and I made it to the show, and we were surprised to see Ben on the big screen wearing a Drumeo shirt!

Jared Falk is a lifelong drummer, drum teacher, and the co-founder of Drumeo. For over 18 years, Jared has been a leader in the online music education industry, publishing his first online video lessons in 2003 and founding Musora in 2005.
