Belli, the founder of the world-renowned drum head company Remo.

In the 1960’s, Remo made a revolutionary change in the drumming world. Many jazz players used natural calfskin as drum heads due to their tone, and since they needed to be frequently tuned due to weather changes, Remo pioneered the use of Mylar – a synthetic polyester film that the majority of drum heads are made from today. They were originally white to help mimic the looks of calfskin, but later innovations introduced clear and double ply versions. Remo D. Belli created a legacy that will remind every drummer of him when they sit down behind their kit.

Our thoughts are with the Remo family and team.

Remo D.
