Then, reduce (or &#8216;squish&#8217;) the space between the notes until they turn into hand-to-hand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drumeo.com\/beat\/flam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flams <\/a>(which is a right hand flam, followed by a left hand flam, and repeat). It&#8217;s amazing how easy this is once you get it. You&#8217;ll notice that a hand-to-hand flam can be broken down into doubles with each hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also start with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drumeo.com\/beat\/triple-stroke-roll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">triple stroke roll<\/a> (RRRLLL) and transition into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drumeo.com\/beat\/flam-tap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">flam taps<\/a> (lRR rLL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rudiments are the letters of the words that make up the drumming alphabet.
