Collapsed rudiments is a topic that was originally studied by Jim Chapin, an American jazz drummer who defined modern drumming as we know it today. Simply put, collapsing a rudiment is closing the distance between two strokes within the pattern.

Not only does Claus Hessler give you exercises to work with, but he will also show you how to apply them in a real musical setting. Download the sheet music and follow along.
