Adam Tuminaro, one of our newest satellite instructors on Drumeo Edge, was recently at our studio for a whole week during the August VIP camp! We thought this would be a great opportunity to film some lessons with him.

In today’s lesson, Adam will show you how to break away from the practice pad and bring your paradiddles to life. Now we know there are a lot of lessons on paradiddles across the web, but Adam came up with some tricks that we just had to share. These tricks focus around accenting your paradiddles on toms, moving them to cymbals, applying them to an eighth note triplet subdivision, and finally doing some displacements to get a great funk and fusion feel in your fills.

These ideas are each one bar in length and very musical, making it easy to apply these tricks to some of your favourite songs. I’m sure you’ll love ’em!
